Pregnancy: That's what you counted last month

By the time you enter the ninth month, your body is ready for the baby to be born. You may be getting impatient and tired, but you will enjoy every moment of the last period as the big moment gets closer.

Such is the ninth dayIt has a special relationship with the baby, which is quite difficult to understand with the world. There are different changes in this recent period as well. Despite the feeling of discomfort, little babies generally feel very well in the last month.
  • Even though you are eager to see the baby, you are immersed in your thoughts as well as feeling the release. Your tummy and baby will be missed.
  • The vaginal flow may be more intense, but there is no cause for concern as long as it is not clear or itchy.
  • You probably feel like you have to pee. This is all right.
  • Your body is ready for true contractions, you may experience yawning.
  • There are women who have misspockets. It is not certain that this will trigger the trouble, and there is no need to draw far-reaching conclusions unless there are other signs.
  • By the end of the month, yoga and the contraction of the currency will make sense.

That's how your body changes

There will also be significant changes in your body during this period.
    • You may suffer from backache
    • Your pool will open, at least you can feel it
    • You can also deal with incontinence
    • The stream is customary
    • The landscape can be uncomfortable
    • Breast milk may leak from your breasts
    • You may have mood swings
    • You may experience stronger haircut
    • You are keenly watching the signs of the onset of trouble

Your baby is almost ready for birth. Here's a little change in the last month:

  • The baby weighs 2.5-3.5 kg and approx. 53cm in length
  • His lungs are fully developed
  • All vital organs are advanced
  • The baby's movements will be slower, since there is not much room for movement in the womb.

Take action in the ninth month

Do these:

  • Go into the water, help you relax. Awakening well prepares your body for a slump. Sensing gravity also helps to relax.
  • Not too hot, but take a nice bath or shower.
  • Don't forget the Kegel Exercises: Being in the ninth month, you can continue.
  • Be with your family, with the ones you are enjoying yourself with. Fill up with all the love and attentiveness that surrounds you.
  • It is very important that you try all sorts of negative thoughts out of your mind before you are born. Think about how weak your baby will be and how close you are to holding it in your arms.
  • After your baby is born, you will not have time to spend a long time, take advantage of the moment for everything that has filled you up: meeting your friends, reading good books, watching movies, going to the beautician, manicuring. In a word: pamper yourself.
  • If this is not your first pregnancy, then it's time to prepare your older child (s) for the changes your soon-to-be-born little brother will tell you: telling you everything will change who you look after. After the baby arrives, it is very important that you show your love up.
  • It's time to find out what the baby's name is.
  • Make sure everything is ready: the hospital package, the baby, the baby carrier, the diaper, everything the baby may need in the first days.
  • No matter how much you are, read and stay informed about your birthing. Talk to your partner about the birth, be prepared, and an active participant in the process.
  • There is no obstacle to intimacy in pregnancy unless you have a health problem. If you have any concerns about pregnant sex, ask your doctor.
  • Sleep on your left side, cushioned and soft, sitting on your back is best to keep your back straight in the middle.

What not to do

  • Do not stress! Don't hurry for anything. Try to relax, relax.
  • Remind yourself that the birth process is a natural process, don't stress it. Let the events take you by yourself.
  • Don't exert yourself physically, you don't have to do anything, but stop it for a while and let your surroundings do the lion's share of work. So careful.
  • Move slowly, carefully, do not make sudden movements.

Enjoy your trip!

Dosage of antibodies in fetus Question:

- I have Rh negative and I am pregnant in 8 weeks. At 4 weeks I did the antibody dosing and the result was 1 / 32-64. I still have a 1 year old girl whose birth required Caesarean section (at week 36) because I had already reached the title 1 / 128-256 and then exanginotransfusion. Is there a chance that at this second task I will no longer have problems from the first? Under what conditions?

The predictive value of the antibody titer regarding fetal impairment is higher only at the first isoimmunized pregnancy, being much lower at subsequent pregnancies, given that an increased titer (determined by previous isoimmunization) may coexist with a negative Rh fetus.
In general, a titer of 1/64 or greater means at first pregnancy with isoimmunization a serious fetal impairment and the termination of pregnancy is required; However, in your situation, the relatively small time distance between the two tasks is taken into account.
Tracing the evolution of the fetus is essential in elucidating the momentary situation and subsequent pregnancy.
If you decide to keep the pregnancy (the most able to make this decision being your obstetrician doctor), there are several possibilities for monitoring the fetus's condition:

  • the ultrasound examination (noninvasive procedure) locates the placenta and determines the size of the fetus, being able to dynamically monitor its growth and intrauterine development. Also ultrasound can diagnose fetal hemolytic disease (a rapid increase in placental thickness or a thickness of 5 cm at 30 weeks of gestation are negative predictive signs; ascites and splenomegaly cause an increase in fetal abdomen volume; signs of generalized edema of the fetus);
  • amniocentesis is a mandatory investigation in the follow-up of Rh iso-immunization pregnancy (initially performed at 22-24 weeks);
  • amniografia;
  • Placental biopsy (performed transabdominally or transvaginally) highlights edema of villi, being a little used in practice.

    Specialist details
  • Am I a bad father because I would choose a wife? "We recently talked to my wife. We moved quite surprising, even for us - a couple who talks about everything, about the subject ... If you had to decide who to save from the burning building, what would you do ...

Honestly, I don't know what's going on in my head, because the words fell alone, as if without thinking. However, once I said them, something had to be done with them - namely, to answer the question.

And here stairs appeared ... because the wife said that she would save the children. However, I pointed at her and felt stupid because I really felt so. Does this mean I'm not a good enough father? And she - loves children more than me? Theoretically, it should be this way, but why did I feel strangely underappreciated, put aside? I know it's selfish, but it's hard to get rid of these emotions when the stakes are so high.

After her eloquent look, I realized that I had touched the topic of taboo. In our child-oriented world, choosing a wife is like sacrilege. They tell us that everything must be done for children. Take care of their education, emotional and physical development. I agree. However, more and more often it goes a bit too far. Instead of a romantic evening, two too often peanut butter sandwiches, instead of a joint evening, a two-year-old knee in the eye when we sleep in our own bed and it is between us, the wife wrapped in headscarves, slings, falls asleep with the toddler by the breast, and I watch TV alone or sleep around the house ... We eat in a hurry or take turns, because there is a child. We are passing by. We are tired. The rational side accepts this, but emotions often scream and rebel because it was not meant to be. Where is our everyday pre-children's life? Immature thinking? I know…

The love I feel for children is completely different from what I feel for my wife. My wife inspires me, is my passion, addiction in a positive word for that meaning. And children? They complement our love, give new quality. However, she is the most important for me. Tom "

Who is more important to you - husband or child?

The above letter touches taboos - who is more important to you and whom do you love more your partner or child?

Although many people indicate that these feelings can not be compared and juxtaposed, they are still discussing this topic, causing extreme emotions. Olive adds to the fact that as many as 75% of women openly admit that they love their children more than their partners.

    What about men?

The stir was caused husband of Nicole Kidman, singer Keith Urbanwho said he loved Kidman more than their two daughters, he added: "Children should not feel too privileged. It's dangerous! Our love is the most important. " In 2011, she amazed her readers and more American writer Ayelet Waldmanwho admitted she loves her husband more than her four children. She explained her opinion: "Raising children is hard work - often frustrating. If I didn't have a husband to share it all, I wouldn't have come this far. I love my children very much, but I'm not in love with them. I see my husband's face when I close my eyes, not theirs. "

In 2011, a scientist from Pensylvania State University interviewed 172 students and found out that men more often fell in love with women within a few weeks, while women took an average of several months. Surprisingly, studies also found that men were three times more likely to say "I love you" first. They confessed to their partners.

Some scientists have studied attachment of men and women to partners. It turned out that three times more men than women commit suicide after a failed relationship. The researchers point out that it's probably because women usually have more support in family and friends than men.

Meanwhile, at least several dozen studies conducted after 1980 indicate that most often, relationships between spouses change for the worse after the birth of the child (especially unplanned - if the decision about the offspring was thought out and the vision of parenthood was not idealized - the fact of having children brings the couple together). Mainly because a woman openly prefers relationships with children. These are the facts. They are confirmed by other research results, which indicate that when children leave home, parents are struggling with empty nest syndrome on the one hand, and are happiest on the other, given their relationship. At last they can start doing what they didn't have time for. Of course, if their love has survived and they still feel like spending time actively together.

    Silly question?

Can the question: who would you save from a fire - a child or a partner be translated to the question of who do you love more?

    In my opinion, probably not.

When we ask who you will save, I think there is a sense of responsibility and an assessment of who has the chance to save himself and who is more vulnerable. The man is stronger by nature. More "fragile" children, that's why "women and children" are first sent to lifeboats from a sinking ship ...

That is why talking about who you love more probably raises unnecessary anxiety ... The trick is to distinguish different types of love. I think so. And you, what do you think about it?

    Your 2-month-old's development: Week 3

    Smooth operator

He's no Fred Astaire yet, but your little one's movements are getting a bit more coordinated. You'll notice that the jerky arm and leg movements of his newborn days have given way to smoother, more circular motions, especially when he's watching people.

Give your baby enough space to stretch and move his arms and legs. Lay a blanket on the floor and let him move as he pleases. These movements can help your baby strengthen and tone his developing muscles. On his tummy, he'll start to push off with his legs – the first step in getting on the move.

    Sound sleep advice

Whether you envision your little one sleeping independently in a crib at an early age or sharing a family bed in the coming years, a soothing and predictable bedtime routine will help your child nod off and get the rest he needs. And it's not too early to start.

Your routine can include rocking, singing, a bath, a bedtime story, cuddling with a transitional object (such as a soft blanket or stuffed animal), being carried around the house and saying goodnight to each room – whatever makes sense for your family. The ritual will evolve as your child gets older.

    "Hello, my name is..."

At this age, your baby should be open to making friends with babies and adults alike. You may notice that he smiles when he sees anyone come in the room or holds out his arms when someone wants to hold him.

Now's a good time to introduce your baby to sitters or other people who might be looking after him later on. Have potential caregivers come over and spend time with you and your baby. Later on, he may be consumed by stranger anxiety, making a simple introduction seem impossible.

Do remember that babies have different temperaments and some are less open to new people than others. If your baby doesn't welcome someone new with open arms, be patient, hold him close, and reintroduce him. It may just take some time. Familiar surroundings will help introductions go more smoothly.

Remember, your baby is an individual

All babies are unique and meet milestones at their own pace. Developmental guidelines simply show what your baby has the potential to accomplish – if not right now, then soon. If your baby was premature, keep in mind that kids born early usually need a bit more time to meet their milestones. If you have any questions at all about your baby's development, ask your healthcare provider.

If you or someone you know is pregnant and struggling with opioid addiction, you're not alone.

The number of women giving birth while addicted to opioids has more than quadrupled in the past 15 years, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It's an alarming trend that underscores the depth of the opioid crisis in America, and the toll it's taking on moms and babies.

Back in 1999, only 1.5 out of every 1,000 women delivering babies in the U.S. suffered from an opioid addiction. In 2014, the most recent year data is available, the number rose to 6.5 out of every 1,000 women, the report found.

Some states have much higher opioid addiction rates among women giving birth than others. Vermont had the highest rate (almost 49 women per 1,000 deliveries) while the District of Columbia had the lowest (0.7 women per 1,000), according to the report. Rates increased fastest over the study period in Maine, New Mexico, Vermont, and West Virginia.

It's unclear why addiction rates vary so much, but experts believe it could be due in part to differences in reporting or screening for opioid addiction, local opioid prescription practices, and state efforts to curb opioid use and treat addiction.

Opioid use in pregnancy is risky. Untreated opioid addiction has been tied to miscarriage, stillbirth, placental abruption, birth defects, preterm birth, low birthweight, and fetal growth restriction.

The news isn't all bad. Recent reports suggest opioid use and overdose deaths may be starting to fall or at least level off in some states which have implemented public health campaigns and increased access to addiction treatment. These include Massachusetts, Vermont, and Rhode Island. The federal government is also providing grant money to help states fight opioid addiction, and Congress is debating several bills aimed at reducing medical prescriptions of opioids.

It's important to get help if you think you have an opioid addiction. Because it's not safe to stop taking opioids abruptly during pregnancy, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists – ACOG – recommends that you get into a treatment program to help you transition to a less dangerous form of medication. See BabyCenter's opioids and pregnancy resource page for more information about taking opioids while pregnant and breastfeeding, and where to get help if you need it.
